Thank you for visiting our Team fundraising page! We are Auntie Gweny's Heroes and we fight for Gwen Pierce. Gwen is a dear family friend who was diagnosed on May 23, 2016. She was diagnosed with CAG repeat of 45 which is adult onset. She is a stay at home Mom of three who lives in Wisconsin. Gwen's mother has also been diagnosed with Huntington's as well as her Grandfather. She knows the difficult journey they have taken as they have lost and are starting to lose their ability to walk, talk, and know what is going on around them. With your help, we can help HDSA achieve their mission to improve the lives of everyone with Huntington’s disease and their loved ones. Please help us to make a difference and end this horrible disease.

HD is known as the quintessential family disease because every child of a parent with HD has a 50/50 chance of carrying the faulty gene. Today, there are 30,000 symptomatic Americans and more than 200,000 at-risk of inheriting the disease.
