Welcome to the Hounchells Kick HD 2017 Team fundraising page! We have had so much support over the last few years, thank you so much from the bottoms of our hearts! As you all know, Chad and Ray Hounchell have Huntingon's Disease. Chad and Ray both live in nursing homes progressing with this horrific disease.
Some information about HD: Huntington’s disease is a fatal genetic disorder that causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain. It deteriorates a person’s physical and mental abilities during their prime working years and has no cure. Today, there are 30,000 symptomatic Americans and more than 200,000 at-risk of inheriting the disease.
The Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) is the premier not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of everyone affected by Huntington’s disease. From community services and education to advocacy and research, HDSA is the world’s leader in providing help for today, hope for tomorrow for people with Huntington’s disease and their family.

The venue for the walk has changed to Voice of America Park in West Chester; we hope you can join us and the fight against HD! If you cannot walk please consider making a donation to our team fundraising page by clicking the ‘Donate’ button at the top of this page.
We will have custom team shirts again this year designed by Mikayla. You can email or text me, Mikayla, Megan or Ellie to order. We will NOT have extra shirts this year; special orders only. We need your order no later than October 7. You can pay the day of the race when you pick up your shirt. Thank you for your continued support!
Lots of love,
Cindy, Mikayla, Megan, Ellie and Chad.
