As you already know my daughter's husband Jimmy is in the early stages of this disease and she is the volunteer head of the CT Affiliate spending many hours raising awareness and organizing events to help. My two beautiful grandchildren are "at-risk" of inheriting it.
Huntington’s disease is a fatal genetic disorder that causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain. It deteriorates a person’s physical and mental abilities during their prime working years and has no cure. The symptoms are described as having Parkinson's Alzheimers and ALS simultaneously.
